Puur Jackie is a website and blog that gives me the opportunity to show the world that a healthy lifestyle is not a punishment but rather fun, tasty and easy!
A healthy lifestyle as always been my thing so when I started at the Health & Nutrition culinary school in The Netherlands I really found my passion. I was a vegetarian for more than 24 years before I started a vegan lifestyle in 2012 and cooking has always been more than a hobby.
During my training I did an internship with a raw vegan chef who introduced me to the raw kitchen, a very clean and healthy lifestyle.
After finishing culinary school I started giving workshops, private cooking lessons and pop-up dinners with the focus on healthy vegetarian and vegan cooking.
I kept active at the culinary school as a personal assitant of the head chef and owner of the culinary school meaning I was a sous chef for catering jobs, trainer and sidekick at cooking demo’s.
The knowledge and experience that I share on my website/blog is based on my own experiences as a vegetarian and vegan and the skills I learned at the Health and Nutrition culinary school. Because I am a very active Crossfit addict my focus has been on showing that a vegan can be powerfull and active without the traditional proteine options. I practise Yoga as a perfect addition to balance my active lifestyle.
What does a healthy lifestyle mean to me:
